Rexroth is extending its CMS cartesian multiple axis motion system to include the IndraMotion PLC for Handling, which has been specially optimized to simplify the programming of handling tasks.
IndraMotion for Handling performs the most demanding motion control tasks for CMS with minimum programming effort and replaces the CNC or robotic controls which would otherwise often be necessary. The controller is purely PLC based and uses the international standard International Electronic Commission 61131-3.
The user can teach in center points via a control unit and can easily set up travel movements and sequences in combination with a robot-oriented syntax. The controller moves up to three axes in combination with point-to-point, in time-optimized movements. By generating blending movements, the system solution increases productivity due to shorter movement times for the same maximum speed and maximum acceleration. This increases cycle rates and preserves the linear axes.
The linear axes are based on the tried-and-tested Rexroth CKK Compact modules and Rexroth ECODRIVE Cs servo-drives.
